But the political and propaganda implications are enormous and the military is taking it very seriously–and stirring up pained reactions in the process.

Israeli tanks, helicopters and ground forces have crossed into southern Gaza after Palestinian militants tunneled under the border and attacked several army posts, killing two soldiers and capturing a third, according to the Israeli army.
