| SHANGHAI—In a conference room at the Four Seasons hotel, a cultural transformation is occurring over tea and cookies. Eight Chinese adults take turns standing uncomfortably on a chair, while a bossy Japanese woman looks them over one by one and gives them a grade on their appearance. A middle-aged Chinese executive with permed hair climbs unsteadily onto the chair. She wears an all-purple outfit with a big plastic pink flower pinned to her bosom. AP - Insurgents stormed a jail about dawn Tuesday in the Sunni Muslim heartland north of Baghdad, killing at least 17 policemen and a courthouse guard. Authorities said all 33 prisoners in the lockup were freed and 10 attackers were killed in the battle.

An estimated 30 million bags were temporarily lost by airlines in 2005, and 200,000 of those bags were never reunited with their owners, according to an industry report released Monday.
