Vice President Dick Cheney took responsibility today for shooting a friend during a hunting trip but dismissed criticism he waited too long to disclose the incident publicly. "Ultimately, I am the guy who pulled the trigger," Cheney said. The vice president said his own medical team administered first aid and that he ran over to the wounded 78-year-old. "I said, 'Harry, I had no idea you were there.' He didn't respond."
