I have been reading some of your columns, and although they are filled with sound advice, none of it worked for us. My daughter is graduating from a top college prep private high school and did not get into any of her top three choices. She had a 3.5 GPA and a 1990 SAT score, took seven AP/honors classes, played two varsity sports, was captain of both teams and MVP, logged 300 hours of community service, and has been a leader in promoting diversity in small independent schools. |
