A massive earthquake killed more than 8,600 people in China and left hundreds trapped under rubble, state run media report. Some 900 students are reported buried under a collapsed school. The quake had a magnitude of 7.9, the U.S. Geological Survey said. USGS earlier had reported a magnitude of 7.8.
