Zacarias Moussaoui will have just one more chance to taunt the United States, when the al Qaeda terrorist is sentenced today to life in a prison cell for his role in the September 11 attacks. Once in prison, Moussaoui will have little opportunity for taunting. A jury determined Wednesday that Moussaoui should spend life in prison rather than be executed.

Tsunami warnings were issued for Fiji and New Zealand after a massive earthquake measuring about 8.0 in magnitude shook the southern Pacific Ocean. Two hours after the quake, there was no indication of a tsunami and the warnings were canceled. The quake was centered about 95 miles off the coast of Tonga, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
