Investigators today sent to the FBI evidence gathered from a stolen vehicle used by a registered sex offender charged with kidnapping an 8-year-old girl. Shasta Groene disappeared along with her 9-year-old brother, Dylan, on May 16, when authorities discovered a triple homicide at their mother's Idaho home. Dylan has not been found, but a sheriff's officer said information has led them to conclude he is dead.

One member of a U.S. special operations reconnaissance team missing in Afghanistan since Tuesday has been rescued, a U.S. official speaking on condition of anonymity told CNN. A military helicopter crashed Tuesday while bringing reinforcements to the team, killing all 16 service members aboard.
