| NASA will send an astronaut on an unprecedented in-flight shuttle repair mission to remove two protruding gap fillers that could cause uneven heating during re-entry, a NASA official said Monday evening. Steve Robinson will spacewalk underneath Discovery to carry out the repairs -- a risky maneuver that could also potentially cause damage to the craft, said Cindy Begley, the mission's spacewalk manager. |
