AP - The body of former President Gerald Ford lies in state for public viewing at Washington's Capitol Rotunda again today. President Bush and his wife, Laura, planned to view the casket this afternoon upon their return to Washington after spending the holiday at their Texas ranch. On Tuesday morning, Ford's remains will rest outside the Senate chamber before a funeral service at Washington National Cathedral where Bush will deliver a eulogy.

AP - The day after Saddam Hussein's execution, the death toll for Americans killed in the Iraq war reached 3,000 as President Bush struggles to salvage a military campaign that has scant public support.
